The SSC MTS & Havaldar Recruitment 2025 is being conducted to fill Group ‘C’, non-gazetted, non-ministerial posts under Pay Level 1 of the 7th Central Pay Commission. These include postings in various ministries, departments, constitutional bodies, and attached offices of the Government of India, across different states and union territories.
- MTS Posts: Vacancies are being collected and will be updated on the SSC website.
- Havaldar Posts: A total of 1,075 vacancies in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) under the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Nationality
Applicants must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, or
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from select countries with the intention to permanently settle in India.
2. Educational Qualification
- Must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) or equivalent from a recognized board by 1 August 2025.
Candidates awaiting results are not eligible.
3. Age Limit
The age criteria as on 01 August 2025 are:
- MTS Posts: 18 to 25 years
- Havaldar & some MTS posts: 18 to 27 years

Application Process: How to Apply
Applications must be submitted online via the new SSC portal at https://ssc.gov.in or through the mySSC mobile application.
Steps to Apply
- One-Time Registration (OTR):
- Candidates must complete OTR on the new portal. Previous registrations (ssc.nic.in) are not valid.
- Aadhaar Authentication (Optional):
- Recommended for ease of verification; reduces the need to upload photo/signature manually.
- Filling Application Form:
- Carefully enter personal, educational, and preference details.
- Upload scanned signature (10–20 KB) if not Aadhaar-authenticated.
- Fee Payment:
- Pay online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Debit/Credit Card.
- Submission:
- Use the “Preview” option to verify all entries before final submission.

Admit Card & Exam Centres

- Candidates must carry a printout, valid photo ID, and passport-sized photos.
Failure to do so will result in denial of entry.
Document Verification
Candidates qualifying CBT (and PET for Havaldar) must provide:
- 10th certificate/mark sheet
- Valid category/reservation certificates
- Disability certificate (if applicable)
- Proof of DOB and identity
- Other documents as required
Selection Process

There is no interview. Final selection is based on Session-II score and preference.
Post Preferences
Candidates can select Post-Cum-State/CCA preferences at the time of application. Preferences once submitted cannot be changed. MTS postings are usually across departments, while Havaldars in CBIC/CBN remain within their Cadre Controlling Authority.
